Tournament: 4 - 6 April 2008
 Mini-fest: Champions and chancers have been coming to The Village on the Rock for centuries to try and withdraw the sword, but this is the first year any kind of competition has been formalized. Now by decree of the Regent of Danar, Lady Emereace, a Tournament is to be held in Heartlands of Danar. Presided over by the Calderon Mystics, the Tournament, through trials of combat and feats of skill will tests the best in the land for the titles including champion, knight and master as well as the right to try to recover the legendary Danarian Severing sword. Fractions from the four quarters of Danar, together with Melanonian and Ungash nations all send contingents to form groups for the challenges. Each faction (or group) will compete in each test or event (fighting, woodcraft, athletics, thieves test, etc). However, behind all this are the intrigues and politics between the factions and when the tournament is all said and done, when blades are drawn and a skirmish begun, whose side could you find yourself fighting on? Two scored ‘competition’ adventures run throughout the event for groups to compete on with the individual and group champions to be declared at the end of the event with LRP weapons presented as prizes. Numerous other IC competitions and tests, including weapons challenges, tests of strength, magic and a thieves test will also be run. The event is to be in character throughout, with a background of intrigue culminating with an evening barroom brawl and mass skirmish on the Sunday.
