 Blackhaven was once a natural port of call for pirates and smugglers until it was beset by daemons and Crulag cannibals, causing adventurers to flee and leave untold treasures behind. Now that daemons can apparently no longer set foot in the realm, Captain Claydon has repaired his ship and mustered a new band of adventurers with only one thought on his mind... the return to Blackhaven. Timings - Friday 8pm start, with an inbuilt IC reason for late arrivals to pitch in as and when they get to the site. Will continue until 1am ish, then time-ish, but rest and sleep advised.
Saturday - 9am wake-up call, time in at 10-30am, runs continually until appx 2am, then time-ish.
Sunday - 10am wake up call, time in 11am runs for appx 2 hours, aim to finish at 1pm. The plot / player background
The port of Blackhaven lies on a god-forsaken peninsula of sand between Wroshan and Ackaran. Scorching desert cuts it off from the mainland of Danar. The fact that it is almost inaccessible except by sea made it a perfect haven for pirates and smugglers trading cargoes of drink, treasure and slaves. Then in May last year, the Omagan temple at Ty-Zen commissioned a group of adventurers to deal with the lawlessness in the port. The expedition immediately ran into unexpected difficulties.
Few survived the port being burnt to the ground on the first night. Those that did fled to refuge in the old stockade (well supplied with rum) and under the command of Captain Claydon. Worse was to follow as daemons emanated from the remains of a lost city buried in the sands. Then a race of large and fearsome cannibals known as the Crulag (apparently allied to the daemons) brought additional mayhem.
From this chaos few escaped unscathed. The port had to be abandoned, and - to the dismay of many - untold treasures had to be left behind. With the recent return of the Regent in Danar, it is said that daemons can set no longer set foot in the realm. Upon hearing this news, Captain Claydon set to repairing his ship, and gathered a fearless crew. One thought is in his mind... the return to Blackhaven.
