Trouble Brewing in Ridgeback

Trouble Brews in the prosperous Ridgeback Mountain realm of the Dwarves. Reports state that the two main Dwarf houses are in loud dispute and war bands have clashed in skirmishes in the heart of the Dwarf stronghold.

This may all seem trivial to most inhabitants of the known world but the tragic knock on effect will have grave consequences for the price of luxury goods, and more importantly the price of beer!

Grain and malt caravans have been recklessly drawn into the conflict, trading routes are dangerous paths to tread as unidentified Rival Dwarf mercenaries carry out sabotage and pillaging attacks on unprotected wagons. No fatalities have so far been reported although wagons carrying essential ingredients for the famed Ridgeback Mountain Breweries have been burned and ponies have vanished. The simple farming traders in their seasonal pilgrimage to the Dwarf breweries now travel in dread and fear of attack.

The conflict has caused normal investigative paths to fail. If the normal rule of law begins to unravel in the region unscrupulous chancers and returning ancient inhabitants of the area may be tempted to loot the normally restricted Dwarf regions, treasure houses and even raid the rumoured ancient Ridgeback Library.

A number of free trading tavern chains have combined in a united plea, representatives have requested volunteers to aid them in a show of strength in the region and to protect the trade routes for simple farming folk, however, they stress that the need for conflict should be avoided at all costs.

Those of stout heart, interested in drafting up to help in this cause, or experienced diplomats who may be able to help dilute the potential crisis should contact a Free Trading Tavern representative on the boarders of the Ridgeback Mountain realm where they will receive adequate reward for their efforts.
