Stock Wood is a fantastic 14 acre site dedicated to LRP. It is located just on the edge of the beautiful Forest of Dean. The site uniquely offers: an Iron Age village with three roundhouses, a large medieval style tavern, player & crew quarters, camping areas surrounded by an expanse of spectacular woodland that contains mini valleys, small caves and numerous constructions (from gate house to tomb) to adventure in. Legion of Dreams runs its own fantasy events monthly, but the Stock Wood site is available for use by all other insured LRP groups.

Underearth: 19th - 21st February 2010

Lord Royd and Angarmar invite those strictly of ancient blood to join them on a secret mission, venturing under the earth. Nothing further can be said of this task at this time, but the risks and rewards could be substantial. The single most valuable item recovered is to go to the keeping of the Cult of Arioc, which you are invited to join and thereby use. All other recoveries are to be equally divided, after the costs of armour repairs have been met.

Underearth is a Mid to High (ancients only) Power award.

Scar Island III - Dangerous Ground Night: 19th -21st March 2010

Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate. All war is based on deception. (Quotes by Sun Tzu)

In a recent unsuspected act Lord De Clarance has announced that he intends to undertake a military campaign against those individuals and their allies who had previously kidnapped his daughters, He has asked for any who would be willing to aid him in this endeavour to attend a meeting at the Old Willow Inn on the Aueran / Movainain Border.

Rumour abounds at the preparation of Lord De Clarances Eldest Daughters up coming Birthday where she will come of age and be eligible to take on the Mantle of the De Clarance Household should anything happen to her father in his upcoming war.

The list of nobility, guilds, temples, merchants and assorted wealthy families that have fallen foul of his schemes grows long. In peaceful times the Military Orders of Thorn, Sword & Lance or the Knights of Celuviel would have hunted him down long ago, but with chaos and death stalking the 4 corners of the land he has the freedom to pursue his nefarious schemes. The latest victim was Henry Makalia Head of the Alchemist Guild in Lenothorian, family ransomed for a fortune and then when it was paid, they were returned to him as Ghasts and Vampyres. Makalia has sent secure word to select aggrieved individuals via high ranking Scouts of Tethic, you have been invited to a meeting at a secluded private location near Lenothorian to clarify the way forward in permanently resolving this continued threat.

TOURNAMENT: The Sword in the Stone: 23rd - 25th April 2010

A heavy Dwarven presence this year is guaranteed in the village of Rock. It is decreed by the church of Calderon that the annual tournament this year will be overseen by the Ridgeback Mountains dwarven skill guild. Famed for their precision construction of intricate artefacts as much as the time you have to wait for your precious order, the Dwarves have presented to the village of Rock a stone obelisk to be engraved with the name of the successful competition winner.

Although a celebrated event and a distraction from the encroaching dark world events, this years tournament has already attracted unusual attention. With the recent reforming of the Order of the Sword they are keen to secure the use of the Danarian severing sword for another year. Mercenaries of every kind travel to the tournament having heard rumours of the sword. Also a small fortune is being offered by an anonymous party to a successful champion to release and use of the sword during the coming year.

The dwarves themselves have let slip that the sword will be invaluable to them in the cutting and shaping of the finest and largest jewels recovered from deep under the ridgeback mountains. Their champions have been in long preparation for the competition.

Although the village of Rock is well protected the forests around teem with undesirables, children of walkers and other strange creatures ready to dispatch the unwary and perhaps take the swrod for themselves. Or will some unknown champion be destined to use this sword for the year in which apocalyptic battles are to come.

Tournament is a low to epic level adventure/fest (1.5-3.0 power, epics level characters restricted).

The Corruption of Lord Ba’Shinn: 7th - 9th May 2010

On the very edge of the Quinen nation lies the valley of Verinia. Here, life is good. In fact, some claim it to be perfect. The weather is nice, the birds are always singing and the people go merrily about their business, farming and trading. It's an image of scenic perfection. Central to the valley community is Lord Ba'Shinn, a venerated figure who rules over the area with fairness and justice. Recently though, things have been changing and a darkness seems to have fallen over the lord and his lands. Lord Ba'Shinn's people have called for help in fixing the corruption and restoring their beloved lord to the light. But is there more to this than meets the eye? In a few shadowy corners, some wonder if the 'perfect' nature of the valley was ever completely natural... Regardless, there is a mystery here to be solved and for the curious adventurer, it might even pay well!

The Corruption of Lord Ba’Shinn is a Low to Mid Power award.

Lucien and the 14 Thieves: 16th - 18th July 2010

They can't say that life hasn't been interesting.

After years of swashbuckling, carousing, negotiation and blatant violence, it has finally sunk home how very expensive it has all been. Whilst journeying to the mysterious Temple of Stone, the party's talk turned to thoughts of gold and treasure which they believed they were to liberate. Unfortunately, these thoughts were short lived. After further escapades, funds are sorely depleted and now things have moved onto desperation. It has been agreed, in theory, that drastic action should be taken. They have been left with little choice but to carry out a well planned and daring raid to plug a much need hole in their resources. As to be expected, Lucien is very keen and has volunteered his 'special' talents immediately.

So it is that one morning you receive a very cheery letter (dictated by Lucien) from his associates (all checked out as legitimate):

"Esteemed and dangerous chums,

It is obviously with great reluctance (Luthien forgive this wretched sinner!) that I have temporarily got back in touch with a few associates from my former larcenous days to try and arrange a suitably enriching mission for you all. Happily, one of my more reliable sources may have a thread that needs pulling, if you catch my drift. I have asked him to meet us at the Green Dragon tavern on the great North road between Lenorithien and Orwick in 2 days time. The Dragon is a first-class (and traditionally violence-free) drinking establishment which many of you I am sure have frequented on numerous occasions during our various jaunts.

In anticipation of the task ahead, I have asked a few handpicked officials to attend to arrange transport for us and ensure we have safe passage on our little expedition. There may also be certain persons who may require a little encouragement to ensure full disclosure of all pertinent information, but knowing how persuasive some of you can be I am sure that won't be a problem! Furthermore (is there no end to my talents?), I've managed to negotiate a very reasonable discount on beverages and fare for the evening - it's amazing what some gossip about the innkeeper's daughter will do! Unfortunately for Arion the gossip isn't about her having a penchant for roughing it, but you can't have everything can you?

Personal abuse (ooh-err) aside, might I also make polite request that people try and refrain from slaughtering all and sundry in the inn? I know old habits die hard for some of you, but good taverns are hard to find these days and you just can't have a proper carouse if you end up with a load of Omagans turning up and bleating on and on about how super justice is and how naughty criminals are.

I look forward to meeting most all of you over a tankard of the Dragon's best – Myron, it's your round!

Yours disreputably,

Lucien,

Bishop of Danar, Scout of Tethic (1st Class with Honours), and second greatest thief in the land (reformed)"

Lucien and the 14 Thieves is an epic level event (1.5-3.0 power award).
